Gather

This Sunday

This Sunday is Scout Sunday and we'll have Scouts from Troop 86 at both services leading worship. We'll hear "What Scouting Means to Me" at both services, too. Pastor Bob sermon title is "Growing Up in Faith" and we'll hear scripture from 1 Corinthians 3:1-9. We hope to see you on Sunday!

Weekly sermons at SUMC

Do you enjoy listening to the weekly sermons here at SUMC? Would you like to listen to them even when you are on vacation or out of town? Well, we do have all the sermons available for you to listen to and they are typically posted to our church website each Sunday. And if you have an iPod or iPad, you can subscribe to the sermons so they will automatically be downloaded to your device for easy listening! To sign up for the automatic feed, go to our sermon page: http://www.stroudsburgumc.com/SUMCNeweSermons.html and then click on the iTunes logo. This will connect you to our iTunes page where you can listen to the sermons or view them in iTunes where you can sign up for the automatic feed. Share this link with your friends and family members. We hope you enjoy this way of staying connected to our sermons here at SUMC.

Sunday School Teachers Needed

If you haven't received a letter, and would like to join SUMC, please contact the church office and let us know of your interest. Thank you!

Our Special Member of the Week:

Address for Janet Woolever

Janet Woolever is staying in Bethlehem while her apartment in Stroudsburg is being renovated. Janet misses her church family and would really appreciate hearing from you. Her address is Janet Woolever, c/o Extended Stay America, Room 133, 3050 Schoenersville Road, Bethlehem, PA 18017. Please keep Janet and her dog, Emmi in your prayers. Thank you.

Sanctuary Open for Prayer

The church sanctuary is open to the public for prayer and/or quiet reflection on Wednesdays from noon to 1 pm. You are invited to take advantage of this time if you are in town during the week, and please let your friends know also. Years ago churches were open during the week for anyone to wander in to pray, however now, because of safety concerns, most churches stay locked. We would like the community to know we are an active and "alive" church and offer this opportunity to anyone who needs a quiet space, even if it is only for one hour a week. Please share with your friends and family.

Table Project Discontinued

The Table Project online prayer discussion website has been discontinued. If you would like to be included on the church email prayer chain or phone prayer chain, please call the church office to be added. Thank you!

Youth Group 30 Hour Famine

Please contact Bill Hardy - 570-856-1850 for donation information or any youth group kids between services. Each Sunday, at both services, leading up to the famine weekend, we'll be presenting information to the congregation about World Vision's 30 Hour Famine.

After Church Fellowship

Each Sunday, after each service, we have after church fellowship in the Fellowship Room. There is always coffee and "snacks" for all to enjoy. There is a sign up sheet for individuals to volunteer to host an after church fellowship service either after the 8:30 or 11:00 am service.
